If your Flame Boss or Egg Genius controller does not connect to your WiFi Router after selecting it from the list of available networks after Step 1 is completed. Either your password was entered incorrectly, or your network security is set too high.

You should contact your service network provider to confirm your 2.4Ghz connection is enabled, its password and lower the security settings for it.

You can also have a guest network setup with an SSID/Name fb and password fb200200.

Spectrum users:

If you have Spectrum Security Shield, try this:

 

    1. Go to the Services & Equipment tab and select Security Shield.

    2. Switch the Security Shield toggle off.

    3. Confirm decision.

 

Users with Eero WiFi Routers: 

 

Use Eero's Legacy Mode.

 

    - Open the eero app

    - Tap Settings in the bottom right

    - Select Troubleshooting

    - Tap My device won't connect

    - Choose My device can't detect Wi-Fi 6

    - Toggle Legacy Mode on


Access Point


Your device must be in access point mode for setup. This is a slow blink (once/sec) for Flame Boss 400 or Egg Genius devices. For the Flame Boss 500 this is in WiFi settings and can be accessed in the WiFi Mode screen.
