The Direct Connect process looks a bit different in the new app compared to the previous version. Please follow the steps below to connect directly to your Flame Boss or Egg Genius.
Steps:
- Plug up your Flame Boss 400 or Egg Genius to power
- The LED needs to be in slow blink mode (1 blink per second). If fast blinking, use a paperclip to press the reset button located between the pit and meat jack once.
- Open the Flame Boss or Egg Genius mobile app
- Select Add New at the top and enter your devices serial number
- You will then be asked to Connect to an FB-####### network
- Select Connect
- You will then be taken back to the Devices tab
- You should now see the lettering turn from red or gold in color to blue
- And get the status of AP Mode: Ready
- Tap on the name of your device to view the cook settings.
- Note: Do not select the Setup Wi-Fi option as this will take you out of the direct connection.
