Please follow the steps below if you are setting up your Egg Genius or Flame Boss 400 for the first time. Or if your WiFi router or password has changed.


Steps to connect the device to your WiFi network:

  1. Plug up the Flame Boss or Egg Genius to power supply

  2. The LED needs to be in slow blink mode (1 blink per second). If fast blinking, use a paperclip to press the reset button located between the pit and meat jack once

  3. Open the Flame Boss/Egg Genius mobile app

  4. Select the "Add New" button at the top of the "Devices" page

  5. See FB-##### and connect to it by selecting Join

  6. You will receive a Success! message once your phone is connected to your controller.

  7. Back at the Devices page, see the lettering turn from gold in color to blue.

  8. See your Flame Boss/Egg Genius device showing and select the Blue "Setup WiFi" button

  9. See your WiFi network name and select it

  10. Then enter the password for it.

  11. The Egg Genius/Flame Boss 400 will then show online and do a firmware update if needed. (See screenshot below)
