To secure the access to your Flame Boss/Egg Genius controller when it is in Local Access mode, follow these steps:
- Plug up your Flame Boss or Egg Genius to power
- See your device confirm it is online with a solid LED (FB400/Egg Genius users) FB500,300,200V2 users see Online!
- Then go to myflameboss.com
- Login using the same email address and password used for the mobile app
- Go to the Profile tab
- Select Settings located under your device
- Scroll down and select Local Access Security
- Select None in the drop-down menu
- Then select Submit
Note: Setting local access to secure prevents the ability of any other mobile app to connect to your device locally or directly or via WiFi. It also helps strengthen your connection to your access point closest to your grill.
