If you have previously connected your FB400 or EGG Genius to your local WiFi and added it to your Flame Boss® or Big Green Egg® account, log in to your iOS or Android mobile app. Go to the 'Controllers' tab and click the 'SECURITY' link under your controller in the 'Added Controllers' section. In the 'Security Options' window which opens, click the 'SHOW PIN' link. Your ID and PIN for your controller will be displayed.


If you have not yet connected your FB400 or EGG Genius you will need to obtain the device PIN for your FB400 or EGG Genius by connecting the controller to your local WiFi network. To do this plug in the FB400 or EGG Genius and make sure the LED is blinking slowly (about 1 blink per second). Open the Flame Boss® or Big Green Egg® mobile app on your smartphone. Login on the 'Account' tab and go to the 'Controllers' tab and click the 'ADD' link at the top of the page and follow the step-by-step instructions. 


If the LED light is not blinking slow, switch the FB400 or EGG Genius into "Access Point' mode by using a paperclip or similar device inserted into the small hole on the bottom of the controller located between the pit and meat jacks. Press and hold for 1 second and then release. The LED light should begin blinking slowly.


TIP: Holding the button longer than 1 second may perform a Factory Reset after 5 seconds.


NOTE: Performing a factory reset deletes any saved WiFi settings you have entered previously. You will have to perform the WiFi setup process again after doing a factory reset in order for your controller to connect to your WiFi


Once blinking slowly open the Flame Boss® app on your smartphone. Make sure you are logged in by going to the "Account" tab. Go to the "Controller" tab and click "ADD CONTROLLER" at the top of the page. Click the "FLAME BOSS 400" link and follow the step-by-step instructions which display.
